Company Philosophy

Network Engineering identifies itself as an engineering services company. We specialize in the sale, installation, and support of systems in multi-vendor environments. We provide project based engineering services, using a wide variety of industry standard technologies. We seek to serve as either a single point of responsibility for these projects and services, or as an on-going supplement to the client's information systems staff.

Our strength comes, to a great degree, from our breadth of systems engineering knowledge and experience with many network technologies and platforms, and from our unique ability to use that expertise to solve client business problems. We are especially strong in environments where interoperability issues need to be addressed on Intel or Unix based systems.

Network Engineering endeavors to earn from our clients and vendors the reputation as an engineering/technology-based organization with a focus on long-term client relationships. We want our vendors to regard Network Engineering as a business partner. We want our customers to realize that we are vendor independent with no contractual requirement to recommend or sell one product over another. The evolution of network technologies and the increasing complexity of business needs has put a burden on the information systems staffs of many companies as they try to keep up with the constant changes. Network Engineering has positioned itself to address this need.

System Lifecycle Support

Companies are continuing to move their mission-critical and line of business systems to an open systems architecture to achieve increased flexibility and competitiveness. As these companies move away from proprietary architecture solutions, they need to ensure that a high level of service and support is in place for their new heterogeneous environment. In the proprietary architecture environment of the past, service and support were typically bundled into the overall system-companies didn't have to think about support. However, with today's open architectures, companies need to plan for their service and support needs up-front for the whole system lifecycle.

Engineering Discipline Applied to Support

Network Engineering offers a broad range of mission-critical and line of business support with an existing support delivery infrastructure. We have the knowledge and infrastructure to either assist or step in and take over any mission-critical and line of business support and service functions depending on the customer's needs. This includes planning, architecture, design, implementation, testing, ongoing operations, training, help desk, and maintenance support. We offer regional, national and international support coverage up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week under a single contract. Network Engineering's service network includes more than 700 engineers and 1,700 technicians through its strategic partner network.

Network Engineering's Competitive Advantage

  1. Exceptional Technical Capability:

  2. Our technical expertise comes from decades of collective experience with computer hardware and software from micro and minicomputers to mainframes. The breadth and depth of our knowledge and experience give us the ability to deliver sophisticated solutions that really work and provide real benefit.

  3. Technology Transfer Sessions:

  4. We host technical training sessions from a variety of vendors on the latest technology every month. Our engineers as well as our customers keep up with the latest technical tips from vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, Sun Microsystems, and HP.

  5. Product Independence:

  6. As an engineering firm, we are able to bring our clients the best solution for their business. We are not dependent on just one technology. We present alternatives, select the best and integrate them to satisfy client needs.

  7. A Corporate Culture of Support:

  8. Our strong sense of engineering ethic, responsibility and technical pride drives us to support our clients well. All of our clients will attest to our unfailing commitment to them and to the success of their operations.

  9. Stability of Our Technical Workforce:

Network Engineering takes great pride in the hiring and development of our employees. Unlike the majority of firms in the network installation arena, Network Engineering has instituted in-house training programs and defined career paths for each employee. This accounts for the consistently high quality of our workmanship as well as the extremely low turnover rate of employees.
